Wwe Big Show and Chris Jericho

When Chris Jericho and Edge got together earlier in the year ad hoc and won the tag titles, people were creaming themselves at the awesomeness. When Edge was injured and Jericho said he'd be getting a replacement, people were full of theories. It'll be Christian! Someone from Florida to help get them started! Jericho's facing Legacy, so it'll be Orton! Just about every name on the roster was bandied about, but when Chris Jericho stared down Legacy and introduced Big Show, you could feel the air deflate in the collective IWC room. Many of you thought this was one of the worst things WWE could have done short of having Jericho decapitate a baby. Me? Not my first choice, but I was willing to give it a shot. And damn good thing that I did, because JeriShow fast had the doubters eating humble pie, because the pair had an undoubtable chemistry and had a string of good matches while champions. It's been rather odd that while the Tag Titles have become one of the main belts in the whole WWE, and since they came together at Wrestlemania, they have been fought for mainly by main eventers, it hasn't necessarily been a banner year for actual tag teams, with more teams breaking up rather than coming to prominence. I'm sure that balance will be readdressed, starting with whoever relieves the titles from DX (c'mon Hart Dynasty!), but the belts themselves have had a great run on top this year, and the lynchpins of that were JeriShow. "

This match seemed to be more for comic relief, and it worked of course. It was an entertaining match. In the end Hornswaggle hit the Tadpole Splash and the three count. after the match, since it was probably the last time they’d be in a match together since Horny got drafted to Raw, finlay wanted to sing him his favorite song. Now remember they were standing in London, England – he wanted the crowd to help him sing when Irish eyes are Smiling.

Oh look the show starts off with a tag team match that brings one of my recent hopes to life.

Rey Mysterio & C.M. Punk vs. The Big Show & Kane

Yep, that’s right they put Kane and Show back together for a match! It was a decent match. In the end Kane hit a Chokeslam on Punk and got the pin. It was nice to see the big men back together again.

Finlay & Hornswaggle vs. Tyson Kidd & Natalya

This was a very very good match. Kofi needs to get more chances like this. Kofi came close to winning a couple of times, but in the end Edge hit a Spear out of nowhere and got the three count.

If the matches remain this quality the ratings for Superstars will far surpass ECW ratings in no time at all – once people manage to find WGN America on their TV dial.

Women’s Champion Melina was drafted from Raw to Smackdown, so Melina returns to the show she originally started on. Her championship follows as well.

One of the main events was WWE Champion John Cena against ECW Champion Jack Swagger, with the winner gaining two draft picks for their show. Cena ended up winning, so Raw got two draft picks, which lead to:

Matt Hardy being drafted from Smackdown to Raw, which will continue Hardy’s new role of a heel wrestler.

WWE Champion Triple H was also drafted from Smackdown to Raw, so now two of the three main champions are on Raw. Triple H was probably moved to further continue the feud with Randy Orton.

Paul Donald Wight better known in WWE as The Big Show was born on February 8, 1972 in Aiken, South Carolina. The Big Show was trained by Larry Sharpe. Big Show joined WCW on June 18, 1995 where he wrestled as The Giant. He wrestled with many famous WCW Superstars like Hulk Hogan, Randy Savage, Goldberg etc.

Show debuted in WWE on February 9, 1999. Show signed a ten-year contract with the World Wrestling Federation on February 9, 1999. He debuted as a villain and as the member of Vince McMahon’s heel stable, The Corporation, at 1999 St. Valentine’s Day Massacre event. He defeated Mankind at WrestleMania and got a chance to become referee at the main event against The Rock and Steve Austin. Vince McMahon berated Show and Show then punched McMahon.
The Big Show then teamed up with The Undertaker and beating Kane and X-Pac for the WWF Tag titles but they lost titles a few weeks later to The Rock and Mankind. Show then got involved in an angle where his dad was apparently dying of cancer while he was feuding with the Big Bossman. The Bossman sent a fake policeman to report his father died during a RAW, which upset Wight huge. Later Show’s dad eventually died, and Bossman continued to further desecrate his father’s memory, as well as attacking Wight at his funeral. Show finally defeated the Big Bossman. Big Show was then sent to Ohio Valley Wrestling for few months to lose weight. Then after a long absense, Show makes his return at the Royal Rumble of 2001.

Big Show and Kane defeated Carlito and Chris Masters at WrestleMania 22, marking Show’s first victory at WrestleMania after suffering six defeats. On December 6, 2006 following some injuries, WWE announced that Show was taking time off from the ring to heal injuries he had sustained on ECW. Later Big Show made his long-awaited return to WWE at No Way Out 2008 stating that he had lost 108 pounds. At Night of Champions 2009, Big Show was announced as Chris Jericho’s new tag team partner. The new duo was able to successfully defend the Unified WWE Tag Team Championship against The Legacy.
