hree times Grand Slam champion, Russia's Maria Sharapova has stormed into the second round of the LA Women's Tennis Championships in Los Angeles. Sharapova ousted Jarmila Groth 6-0 6-4 in first round match on Tuesday.

Sharapova has just recovered from a shoulder injury due to which she was out of the action for the last nine months. Sharapova will now clash with the third seeded Victoria Azarenka of Belarus in second round match.
